Welcome!

Our mission is to provide appropriate play and learning experiences that contribute to the intellectual, emotional and physical growth of each child; prepare them for future learning and school success; and confirm that all children are filled with dignity, goodness, and have incredible potential for discovery, education and development.

Children explore language, the arts, science, math and more in thoughtfully created and age-appropriate learning centers.  Daily teacher-led and theme-based activities enhance the offerings in the learning centers.  All of this combined with our atmosphere of security, acceptance and caring enables the intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth to take place that builds a strong foundation for a life long love of learning.

As part of a parent-run cooperative preschool, parents participate in their children's education and contribute their talents for the benefit of the business side of the preschool - keeping vocational skills fresh or learning something new.  Because the preschool is part of
Bellevue College's Parent Education Program, parents have the additional benefit of receiving classes on parenting tailored to their needs and interests included in the already low tuition for the preschool.

Our preschool provides the following benefits:

  • Discovery-based, hands-on learning
  • Child-centered, learning-through-play environment
  • High adult to child ratio (at least 1:5)
  • Low tuition rates
  • Well-trained, caring and involved teachers
  • Regular meaningful parental involvement
  • On-site, fenced playground with a variety of large-muscle activity areas
  • Enriching parenting classes and resources from early childhood professionals
  • Comfortable environment for both parents and children to form new friendships with peers
  • Continuing opportunity to learn, observe, share, and practice techniques for working with young children

"It's the work of kids to play.'  When young children get caught up in today's stress-filled, study saturated environment, they lose their love of learning.  'And that love of learning is what will help them be strong in academics throughout their lives.'" -- Debbie Kray, Director of Education at the Chidren's Museum of Tacoma.
